Definition

The study of childhood disorders as they affect the lower extremity.

The objective of this course is to elevate the podiatric medical student in his/her recognition and treatment of the pediatric and adolescent patient. The course will include presentations of the normal and abnormal.

Purpose

This course is placed into the curriculum for an appreciation, understanding and prevention of adult orthopedic pathology as related to the newborn, infant and adolescent patients.
