Summer Academic Reinforcement Program

The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine offers participation in the Summer Academic Reinforcement Program to every new student. This program facilitates the first-year student’s transition into our environment, both academically and socially.

The two-week program focuses on learning techniques and subject information in three basic science courses: biochemistry, general anatomy, and histology.

Experienced students, under the direct supervision of faculty members, teach the program, which also provides a workshop that covers test- and note-taking skills, and stress and time management. The workshop is conducted by a counselor from the Temple University Tuttleman Learning Center. Typically, 15 to 18 percent of the entering class participates in these activities.
