The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine is fully integrated within a university health care system and operates its own comprehensive center for podiatric treatment, the Foot and Ankle Institute. Academic training begins in year one with a solid foundation in the anatomical and physiological sciences, including a lower extremity anatomy course unmatched in depth by any other podiatric medical school. While year two focuses on other biomedical sciences such as pathology, and pharmacology, students begin their educational journey in the clinical sciences covering all facets of medicine and surgery. TUSPM also sponsors a research program in both basic and clinical sciences, in which many students take an active role. |
