About Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM)

Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) began as the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (PCPM), established in September 1963. Following its merger with Temple University in 1998, TUSPM has become an integral part of the Temple University Health System.

As the only podiatry school directly associated with a major university, TUSPM continues to enhance its collaboration with Temple and the Philadelphia community.

At TUSPM, we are focused on service and education.

At Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, our mission centers on addressing the diverse lower extremity and foot and ankle conditions presented by our patients across our extensive network of clinics. We pride ourselves on having the largest clinical volume and the most diverse student body and faculty among podiatry schools in the United States. This dynamic environment not only meets the varied needs of our community but also provides invaluable hands-on experience for our students.

By combining innovative practices with practical, real-world education, we ensure that our students receive exceptional training while our community benefits from the latest advancements in podiatric medicine.

Our Legacy of Leadership in Podiatry

Our alumni have distinguished themselves with remarkable success, frequently ascending to prominent leadership roles within the field of podiatry. Their accomplishments highlight not only their personal dedication but also the strength of our educational foundation in developing future leaders in the profession.

Building on this legacy, we inspire our students to embody the same principles of compassion, excellence, and humility in patient care. By focusing on treating each patient as a whole person and serving those in greatest need, we uphold a commitment that continues to define our school's impact on both the profession and the community.

“If you are considering a career in podiatric medicine, you cannot afford not to choose Temple.”
