Sarah Bauman is the Head Librarian at the Charles E. Krausz Library at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. In this role, she provides leadership and direction for the library, assists students, faculty, and staff with their library needs, and serves as the liaison to the Physician Assistant program at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Sarah offers in-person and virtual instruction on biomedical and health sciences information resources and contributes to the libraries' systematic review services. Additionally, Sarah explores opportunities for supporting researchers, and develops and maintains the library's electronic and print collections.
Sarah joined the Charles E. Krausz Library in January 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous roles at the University of Pennsylvania. Her career in libraries began as a Library Clerk at the Biddle Law Library in 2011, followed by positions at Rosengarten Reserve, Lippincott Library, and the Leon Levy Dental Library. Her responsibilities included managing circulation desks, supervising student workers, handling knowledge management projects, and assisting library patrons with their research needs.
Academically, Sarah holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, she completed three post-baccalaureate certificates at the University of Pennsylvania.
