Biography

Dr. Maryann P. Hartzell, DPM, FACFAS, CWS, is a highly skilled podiatrist specializing in a wide range of podiatric concerns for patients of all ages, from young children to older adults. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and holds certification as a Wound Specialist.

Dr. Hartzell excels in diabetic wound care, staying at the forefront of advanced healing techniques for diabetic and peripheral vascular wounds. Her approach to patient care is deeply individualized; she customizes evaluations and treatment plans to restore each patient's lifestyle and improve their overall quality of life.

Dedicated to achieving optimal patient outcomes, Dr. Hartzell is committed to providing the highest standard of care and continuously strives to enhance her patients' well-being.

Dr  Hartzell, is honored to serve as the Medical Director at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM). In this role, she plays a pivotal part in shaping the clinical training of students, who are the future leaders in the podiatric profession. Her dedication to educating and mentoring the next generation of podiatrists underscores her commitment to advancing the field and ensuring that high standards of care are upheld in the years to come.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field, Dr.Hartzell was honored by Temple University in 2017 with the prestigious Temple University Gallery of Success Award. This accolade is given annually to one distinguished alumnus from each of the university's 17 schools and colleges, celebrating their outstanding achievements in their respective professional fields.
