Dr. John A. Mattiacci, a distinguished and board-certified podiatric physician, has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery since 1970. He is the President of the First National Guild for Healthcare Providers of the Lower Extremity/OPEIU Guild 45, an organization chartered in 1996.
Dr. Mattiacci currently holds the positions of Dean and CEO at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Since 1998, he has also served as Vice President of OPEIU Region II and sits on the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Executive Council. His leadership roles extend to the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association (PPMA), where he is the Chairman of the Labor Committee and Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee, as well as Secretary to the PPMA Board.
With board certification in podiatric surgery, Dr. Mattiacci is a fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons. In recognition of his exceptional service to the community, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2012.
Dr. Mattiacci's contributions to the field of podiatry are extensive. He is a past President of the PPMA and was honored as Pennsylvania Podiatrist of the Year. His experience includes roles as a residency director, director at two Temple University Health System hospitals, and founder of the Diabetic Chronic Wounds Center. He is also the recipient of the 2023 Diversity Award. Dr. Mattiacci's proven leadership and dedication to podiatric medicine have solidified his reputation as a leader in his profession.
