On Friday, February 12, 2021, TUSPM's Development and Alumni Relations Department held a Women in Podiatry Virtual Event. 4 top female podiatrists were the panelists, in which they answered questions from the audience, spoke about their own experiences, and empowered women in this field. The panelists were Dr. Ellianne Nasser, Dr. Jennifer Van, Dr. Maryellen Brucato, and Dr. Kristin Strannigan, all of who graduated from TUSPM and work in different types of podiatric settings, such as small hospitals, private practice, and major institutions. Some of the topics discussed were how men and women are treated differently in the workplace, maintaining a balance of work and family, earning respect as a woman in the field, and mentorship.
