A three-dimensional image of the foot is obtained using the INFOOT Scanner (I-Ware Laboratory, Osaka, Japan). A subject stands with his or her foot in the scanner, and utilizing an optical laser scanning system, the form of the foot and anatomical landmarks are scanned. This data is used for morphological analysis of foot structure. Additionally, the scanner provides measurements of particular foot parameters.
