TUSPM seeks to enroll qualified students regardless of race, gender, religion, or physical handicap. TUSPM is proud of its tradition as a national and international resource, having educated men and women from all over the country and a number of foreign countries.
TUSPM is also committed to helping students with the cost of medical education, providing some form of financial aid to approximately 85% of TUSPM students. This year, we awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to incoming students based on cumulative GPA, the competitiveness of the undergraduate institution, and MCAT, GRE or DAT scores.

Accelerated Admissions
TUSPM participates in the Accelerated Podiatric Medical Education Curriculum (APMEC) which consists of only three years of pre-professional education before enrollment at TUSPM. Students receive their bachelor degrees from their undergraduate institutions after their first year at TUSPM. Other students with a minimum of 90 college credits but no bachelor degree are eligible for admission, but no guarantee of the awarding of a bachelor degree can be made. Admissions to the APMEC program are restricted to students that attend participating colleges. Contact the Student Affairs Office for a complete listing of the institutions that participate in this program. View a sample listing of some APMEC-affiliated colleges.

Financial Matters
The Office of Student Financial Services (215-625-5447) provides information and counseling assistance to all students and applicants and informs them of available loans and scholarships for which they are eligible. The office also assists students with the procedures necessary to secure the funding resources available to them and helps students plan an annual student budget. In addition to student loans and scholarships, students may qualify for the federal work study program. A current Financial Aid Handbook and complete Financial Aid Application Package will be sent to all students accepted to TUSPM.
Tuition and Fees
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $1,000. The first payment of $500 is due within one month after acceptance by TUSPM and the balance is due two months after acceptance. The first tuition payment is due by the first Monday in August. Contact the college's Office of Student Affairs for information about deferments, payment plans, and refunds.
